Album: Temporary Kitchen
On the side-porch, we erected a tent to house a temporary kitchen. Why suffer?

Album: Before
Here is the kitchen, with appliances and stuff removed, before we begin demolition.

Album: During Week 1
Our first week (weekend mostly) of effort spent on demolition and subtractive processes. Next: finish opening the walls so that the plumbing can begin!

Album: During Week 2
This week was spent on prep, plumbing, stripping, and framing. We also planned out the final cabinetry layout. Next: finish stripping laundry area paneling, run wiring, finish framing built in shelves.

Album: During Weeks 3-4
The progress was incremental... We patched the walls a bit and purchased and installed v-groove wainscoting/back-splash in the kitchen to match the original material in the laundry area.

Here is the progress on the kitchen made during the weeks before Thanksgiving.

Album: During Weeks 7-12
We have been concentrating on finishing the laundry room, working on the sink, and getting ready to install the appliances.

Album: During Weeks 13-15
The end is in sight. Much wiring and finishing as been done and all of the wood for trimming out the room has been milled. The light fixtures are up and all of the wiring and plumbing in the crawl-space is behind us!
